Dr. Richelle Prickett has a BSc (Chemical Engineering Coop) and an interdisciplinary PhD (Chemical Engineering and Medical Sciences) from the University of Alberta. As a large part of her interdisciplinary studies involved explaining biology to engineers and engineering to biologists, she gained an avid interest in knowledge translation and learning science. Since completing her graduate degree, she has worked in technology commercialization, public awareness and education, and most recently in adult education and corporate training. Her current role is Training Manager in the Government of Alberta’s Safe, Fair and Healthy Workplaces Division of the Ministry of Labour & Immigration. In this role she leads a team of instructional designers and training facilitators who develop and deliver training to staff in Occupational Health and Safety and Employment Standards.

Her areas of interest include behaviour change, learning science, knowledge translation and adult education. While she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her two kids and husband, reading, baking, or building an insane amount of LEGO.
